If things seem different since the last time you visited Llano Grande’s website, don’t worry – you’re on the right page.
The Llano Grande Center, in partnership with MPC Studios, is launching a new version of www.llanogrande.org this summer. Our site has been completely revamped to provide a much more appealing, user-friendly and up-to-date experience for visitors who want to know more about what is happening with the Center.
Llano Grande staff have been working on an updated version of our website for the past four months with MPC Studios in Harlingen, who provided guidance and technical assistance on producing a web presence that was much more aesthetically pleasing, easy to use and capable of being updated frequently by staff members.
MPC Studios also contributed a large portion of the cost of the new site’s production.
“Many people’s first introduction to Llano Grande’s work is through our website,” said Juan Ozuna, Director of Community Programs and Outreach. “For others who are looking to reconnect with the Center, they instinctively go to web. We wanted to have a website that could comprehensively share our work and allow people to connect with us beyond just text on the screen.
“Our beautiful new space online gives us a fresh and professional look that allows us to better interact with people who want to explore with us ideas of youth engagement and community change,” he said. “We are extremely grateful to MPC and the work they have done.”
Along with updated information about the Llano Grande Center, the new site has many features, including an interactive calendar of events, a space for alumni to reconnect and share their stories, and access to the Center’s historical archives.
Another great feature of the site is how dynamic it is – through a system with MPC, Llano Grande staff can now update news, information and even photos on the website immediately, giving viewers access to what is currently going on.
The site also features tools for people who want to contribute to the work of the Center in various ways, either by volunteering or through donations, as well as spaces for researchers to learn more and share ideas.
